How it works

Reaching out shouldn't feel like opening a door you can't close.

It's not like that here. Here's how it actually works.

Painterly, semi-abstract Australian wetland river bend — soft reed banks and still water.
  1. Step 1

    A free conversation

We get on a call or meet for a coffee. You tell us what's slowing you down, what you've tried, and what good looks like. We ask questions. We'll be honest about whether what you're describing is something we can help with, and whether it's likely to be worth the investment.

There's no pitch deck. There's no obligation. A lot of people find this conversation useful just on its own.

  2. Step 2

    A clear scope

If it makes sense to work together, we'll put together a clear scope of work — what will be built, what it will do, what it won't do, and what it will cost. No vague estimates or hourly rates that balloon — fixed-scope projects where possible, so you know what you're getting.

  3. Step 3

    The build

We do the work. You're kept in the loop throughout — regular updates, working demos as things come together, and a direct line to us if anything needs to change. No account managers, no handoffs, no Chinese whispers.

  4. Step 4

    Handover

When the work is done, you own it. We'll make sure your team can use it and understand it. If it needs maintenance or iteration down the track, we can discuss that — but there's no lock-in.

The questions people are too polite to ask

The practical detail.

Do you work with businesses that aren't technical?
Yes, most of our clients aren't. We're used to translating between what the business needs and what the technology does.
Do you work with businesses outside Melbourne?
Yes. Most of the work is remote. We're based in Melbourne but work with clients across Australia.
How long do projects typically take?
Anywhere from a week for a small automation to several months for a full product build. We'll give you a realistic timeline before we start, not an optimistic one.
What does it cost?
Depends entirely on scope. The scoping conversation is free, and we'll give you a fixed quote before any money changes hands.

The first step is a conversation.

No forms to fill, no deck to sit through.
